Enter a team in the Minocqua Dragon Boat Festival and you will experience team building, fundraising, camaraderie and fun! Gather 20 paddlers and 1 drummer from your friends, family, or co-workers and you can make up one of our 48 teams. Hurry because space is limited!
2020 Rates: $900 per team (that’s only ~$43 per person for a team of 21) and $600 for competitive Dragon Boat Club and Junior Division (rising 9th-12th grade ages 14-18) teams
Our goal of the festival is to raise funds and awareness for The Howard Young Foundation. Your team can help transform and sustain healthcare in northern Wisconsin for generations to come. Rally your friends and family to pledge support for your boat.
Reduce your registration through team pledges
If you raise $1,500 or more as a team for the Howard Young Foundation by August 14th, 2020, then you're eligible for a refund of half your registration fee! If you raise $3,000 or more as a team for the Howard Young Foundation by August 14th, 2020, then your entire registration fee could be refunded! Last year, every team chose to give the money to our chosen charity instead of accepting a refund.
Exclusive multi-festival discount offer! Double your fun and save $100
The Minocqua Dragon Boat Festival and the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival have teamed up to offer a $100 discount to teams that participate in both festivals this year. Once a team has registered for both festivals, a $100 discount will be applied to each festival registration. The Lake Superior Dragon Boat will take place August 2020, in Superior, Wisconsin.
Team Registration Includes:
- 1 practice scheduled in the week leading up to the event.
- Racing a minimum of 2 times on race day on a 300m race course,.
- All of the necessary equipment will be supplied to your team including a boat, life vests, paddles and a steersperson / coach.
You just need to supply the 16 - 20 paddlers (at least 1/2 must be women) and 1 drummer (no prior drumming experience necessary!). All of the teams will enjoy racing on top notch dragon boats and setting up their rest area in a beautiful location in Torpy Park with great views of the lake and race course.
